Focusing on the Foundation: Catholic Curriculum Standards - Facilitator Guide
This Course Pack is designed for professional learning communities or small teacher groups interested in learning more about the philosophical underpinning of truth, beauty, and goodness incorporated into the Catholic Curriculum Standards.
Each module can be read leisurely by teachers before meeting in a group. This opportunity allows them time to reflect on and respond to comprehension questions at the end of each essay, as well as to consider ways to incorporate philosophical concepts of truth, beauty, and goodness into their lesson plans and daily routines, thus deepening discussions about faith and life that impact the overall Catholic culture of the school. (The Facilitator Guide has answers.)
The Table of Contents includes:
Module 1: The Importance of Philosophy and Theology by Peter Kreeft
Module 2: Evidence of the Transmateriality of Human Beings by Fr. Robert Spitzer, S.J.
